Al Ka2ed Al Mou3allim Tony Bek Frangieh

His Biography:

Tony Frangieh was born on the 1st of September 1939 in Ehden. He's the son of Sleiman Frangieh, president of Lebanon in 1970.
He studied in "Freres" of Tripoli, then in 1958 he went to "Freres" of Beirut for two years. He was very attracted by politics which made him stop studying & leave the USJ.
In 1962, he got married from Vera el-Kordahi, they gave birth for two children: Sleiman & Jihane.
In 1969, he felt that Lebanon's future was in danger so he created a training camp in Bnashii.
On the 25th of October 1970 he became a member of the Lebanese parliament to replace his father who became the President of the Republic.
He considers that politics needs three conditions:
-being frank
-being courageous
-being calm
In 1972, he founded "takattul al-wassat al-jadid" which grouped some deputies, its goal was to be in an equal distance between all political sides.
He was selected several times minister.
In the Lebanese war, he was the leader of Marada and had an important role in its foundation.
In that period, he believed in a free Lebanon and was against its partition.
One of the reasons of Marada's heroism was the cleverness of Tony Frangieh.
In the begining of 1978, he felt the danger of the Israeli presence in Lebanon and the danger of cooperating with her, so he advised the kataeb party to stop cooperating with Israel because she intended to hurt Lebanon.
The kataeb party wanted to be the unique Maronite force in Lebanon but Tony Frangieh refused because he wanted to keep all the Maronites equal.
Those two reasons with some others made the kataeb party attack Ehden perfidiously on the 13th of June 1978 and kill Marada's leader Tony Frangieh, his wife Vera, his three-year-old daughter Jihane and 28 others.
Though the hero was dead , he is still alive in Zghortiots' hearts.
